Mulberry Court, our boutique care home based in Chalfont St. Peter, recently hosted a chocolate afternoon tea and invited the local community along to enjoy this special event.

The afternoon tea included a vast selection of sandwiches, fresh fruit and a chocolate fountain complete with marshmallows for dipping. Entertainment was provided by singer John Smith of The Styles, who performed a range of classics from the 50s, 60s and 70s, and very quickly became a favourite with the guests.

Guests from the U3A (University of the Third Age) took the time to give a presentation about their organisation and the wide range of activity groups run by its members. They also invited other guests and residents at Mulberry Court to ask questions about how they could get involved.

The event was a great opportunity to promote the 2022 calendar and Christmas Cards designed by residents of Mulberry Court and hold a raffle for a coveted chocolate bouquet.

Kelly-Ann Cole, Activity Coordinator at Mulberry Court commented: “It was so great to have the opportunity to invite guests into the home and for them to enjoy the entertainment. We managed to raise £37 for Age Concern GX Plus thanks to the draw of the chocolate bouquet, which everyone had their eye on! We cannot wait to host more community events soon.”
