Activities and fundraising for dementia care in Aylesbury

We are more than just a dementia home with respite care. We plan a wide range of activities for our residents to provide cognitive stimulation and fun. Throughout the year we work with local partners to organise events, performances and activities for both our residents and visitors to enjoy. In 2022, we organised a surprise visit from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which was a popular hit with our community.

One of our most memorable activities was the opening of the Paralympics in 2021 where we organised games and a BBQ and celebrated together with the local community. The Paralympic games started in Stoke Mandeville Hospital in 1948, so this was a fitting celebration, close to the heart of our care home in Stoke Mandeville.

Testimonials: how residents feel about our care

The carers were extremely professional and used every skill and effort in looking after my wife. She was carefully supervised and supported, both mentally and physically and was made to feel as much at home as it was possible to do. They also showed great care and support for me and I was welcomed as

a friend and family member every time I visited. It was my home as well. They were not just carers, they were friends and family to my wife and myself.

- Review from W. H. (Husband of Resident) published on 13 June 2023 with a five star rating

Mum’s first Christmas in Fremantle Court and first time ever not shared with the family because of Covid. However, the celebrations leading up to Christmas and the day itself was a triumph and nicely enjoyed. And staffing problems because of Covid were managed superbly and not noticed by mum. We’re

so pleased and impressed by all aspects of Fremantle Court - the staff are second to none.
