Respite care at Fremantle

As a carer, you’ll know there is never a dull moment when caring for a loved one. And whilst being a carer can be extremely rewarding, it can also be both mentally and physically draining.

We recognise that everyone needs a break from time to time and we also know that some carers can often feel guilty about this, even questioning their loyalty and devotion to the person for whom they provide care. This is where we come in.

Types of respite care

At Fremantle Trust, we offer various types of respite care to suit the needs of individuals and their families:

  1. Planned respite: Scheduled short-term stays to provide temporary relief for primary caregivers.
  2. Emergency respite: Immediate care for individuals in urgent need of support.
  3. Convalescent respite: Specialised care for individuals recovering from illness or surgery.
  4. Holiday respite: Short-term stays for individuals who require care while their primary caregivers are away on vacation.
  5. Taster weekends respite: Perfect for those who want to experience our care firsthand, these weekends offer a glimpse into life at Fremantle Trust, providing individuals and their families with peace of mind and reassurance.
  6. Open day respite: Join us on our open days, where individuals can explore our facilities, meet our staff, and experience the warm and welcoming environment of Fremantle Trust firsthand.
