I am writing on behalf of the Board of Trustees of The Fremantle Trust. As you know, the Trust is a charity and the Trustees have independent control over, and legal responsibility for, a charity’s management and administration. Day to day management is devolved to an Executive Team under the leadership of the Chief Executive, Sara Livadeas. The Trustees work closely with Sara and her colleagues to ensure the services the Trust provides are done so in accordance with its governing document and the law.

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a profound effect on many organisations and individuals, particularly in health and social care. The Trust is doing its utmost to ensure your loved ones are kept as healthy,  safe and happy as possible. I hope you will understand and appreciate that this is an enormous challenge in the present circumstances but want to assure you that Sara and her team, and the service managers and staff, are working extremely hard to meet these aims and they have the full support and appreciation of the Board.  I know that being unable to visit those in our care must be very distressing; thankfully, many of you can be in touch by video links. We all hope that the situation will improve soon and restrictions, in time, be lifted.

If you have any issues or concerns you need to raise regarding your relatives please do so with the home or service manager in the first instance. Meanwhile, thank you for your forbearance and understanding. Please stay safe.

Alan Howard

Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees
