Team members at Barnet-based care home, Meadowside, have received no less than four nominations for the Great London Care Awards and will be donning their glad rags for a gala event on 26th November at The Marriott Hotel at Regents Park, London.

Meadowside has been shortlisted in four categories for the London-based event, which forms part of the Regional Great British Care Awards. Among those shortlisted are care worker Francesca Marini for the Care Newcomer Award, assistant manager Caren Chin-Henry for Frontline Leader, Harinder Kalsy for Activity Coordinator and the whole Meadowside team for Care Team of the Year.

The Regional Great British Care Awards are a series of events throughout England celebrating excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to individuals who are outstanding within their field of work.

The awards span twenty one categories, which represent all areas of the social care sector, whether it be older people services, residential, home care or specialist services. The awards are inclusive, bringing together statutory, independent and voluntary sectors and celebrate partnership working within each local community.

Commenting on the nominations, Meadowside care home manager, Rachel Sohorye, said:

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition within the sector in which we work. The calibre of our team is synonymous with the quality of care we provide and we firmly believe in going the extra mile to provide specialist, person-centred care.

“Our team are so passionate about what they do and benefit from on-going training in line with the latest innovations in the industry. We set the bar high and strive for continuous improvement. We’re really looking forward to representing our service and local community at such a prestigious event.”
