Care team with the Mayor of Barnet

Staff and residents at Meadowside care home, enjoyed a wonderful day of arts, crafts and entertainment to celebrate Care Home Open Day, a national initiative, recently.

The home was also delighted to welcome the Mayor of Barnet, Mark Shooter, who came along for the morning to watch everybody take part in the different activities and enjoy a tour of the facilities.

Mayor Shooter commented:

I’m overwhelmed by the happiness of the residents and the excellent facilities in the care home and day centre. It is a delight to see the work The Fremantle Trust is doing. Meadowside is a beautiful home and I hope to be invited back as soon as possible.

Lynnette Evans, care home manager at Meadowside, added:

We all had a fantastic day celebrating Care Home Open Day with residents and the wider community. Events like this are so important when raising the awareness of the excellent care available in this country and we couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this initiative.  Everybody had a smile on their faces throughout the whole day, especially when they were showing their art work to Mayor Shooter – our very own VIP!
