As a specialist residential care home, Icknield Court has a variety of facilities that provide excellent services for our residents, including those living with dementia, in a safe and caring environment.
Spacious En-suite rooms
Each fully furnished and brightly decorated individual room in our care home has been designed with an older person in mind. Every room has a modern en-suite and is wheelchair accessible. We have also added a 24-hour carer call system, phone and TV points for residents to use freely. We encourage residents to bring their own furnishings from home to give their new rooms that 'personal touch'.
Modern communal areas
Our inviting communal areas are located on each wing and include a modern dining room and kitchenette. Our care home is also equipped with a coffee shop, quiet area and two large lounges. These provide a space for residents to meet up with friends and participate in the social activities we regularly host. Our large balcony located on the first floor is a lovely place to sit back and watch the sunset during summer months. To suit all care needs, there is easy access to every floor using the stairs or lift.
Fresh food daily
Freshly cooked, delicious food is an important part of life at Icknield Court and we source local produce from the Princes Risborough area, wherever possible. There is a wide selection of meals provided throughout the week and we also welcome suggestions from residents when menu planning to ensure we cater to everyone’s tastes and dietary needs. For a minimal charge, visitors are welcome to join us at mealtimes, or they can use the kitchenettes as they would at home.
Bird bath and enclosed floral garden
Spending time outside in the beautiful garden area is wonderful for a person’s overall wellbeing. At Icknield Court, our landscaped outdoor space has been decorated with its resident bird table. This is an ideal spot for visiting feathered friends and encourages residents to get involved in some light gardening while taking in the fresh air – particularly in warmer months!
Access to specialist services
We are committed to delivering expert care for older people. As well as providing personal key workers, we offer an individual support plan that is tailored to each person and is reviewed regularly. This ensures that we continue to meet any changing care needs. We work in partnership with other local healthcare professionals, including opticians, chiropodists, physiotherapists, district nurses, GPs and dieticians. We also hold religious services regularly at the care home.
Hairdressing salon
At Icknield Court, we believe everyone deserves to feel great which is encouraged by the services we provide. Our on-site hairdressing salon is run by qualified hairdressers who offer a range of styling options for both male and female residents, so they can enjoy an extra bit of pampering.
Pet friendly
As a nation of animal-lovers, we know that having a pet can be incredibly rewarding and beneficial for an older person. Pets are welcome to visit our care home and we do everything we can to support residents so they can continue to enjoy the company of their furry friends.
