As a specialist nursing home, Chesham Leys has a variety of facilities to provide excellent services, creating a safe comfortable environment for older people and those living with dementia.

En-suite rooms
Each individual room is comfortable, spacious and designed for the needs of older people, including a 24-hour carer call system and a specially equipped wheelchair accessible en-suite. Rooms are fully furnished including phone and TV points, however we encourage residents to bring their own furniture and personal items to create a true home from home feel.

Comfortable communal areas
Bright, spacious, welcoming lounges are located on each floor, encouraging social interaction with other residents, friends and family, and providing ideal locations for the home’s many leisure activities and social event. Every floor has its own unique style with easy access by stairs or lift. There is also a quiet room, which can be used as a private space to meet with visitors.

Fresh food daily
Food is one of life’s great pleasures and ours is professionally cooked fresh on site, using locally sourced produce wherever possible. Residents have a choice of meals and input into the varied menu planning. Special diets are catered for. Each floor has a dedicated dining room and visitors can join residents at mealtimes for a minimal charge. Alternatively, residents and visitors can use the kitchenettes.

Enclosed garden with raised beds
Attractive outdoor spaces can really enhance wellbeing and at Chesham Leys everyone is welcome to spend time in the delightful enclosed garden. It is fully wheelchair accessible and has a seating area that is perfect for catching up with family and friends. Raised beds allow residents to indulge in a spot of gardening at a comfortable height and contribute to making the garden bloom.

Access to specialist services
As well as a personal Key Worker and an individual support plan, residents can benefit from regular visits by healthcare professionals including opticians, chiropodists, physiotherapists and dieticians. We also have access to district nurses and a local GP for whom we have a purpose made consultation room available. Religious services are held regularly at the home.

Pet friendly
As a nation of animal-lovers, we know that the positive effects of caring for a pet can be both rewarding and beneficial for an older person. We will do everything we can to support individuals, so they can continue to care for, and have the companionship of their furry friends.

Hairdressing salon
Everyone deserves the opportunity for a bit of pampering, so at Chesham Leys our trained hairdressers are on hand to offer a range of styling options for both male and female residents.
