From 27 June 2022, The Fremantle Trust residential and nursing care homes across Buckinghamshire will be opening their doors to the public in celebration of Care Home Open Week.
Alongside the events listed below provided by our individual homes, each service taking part will also have staff on hand to provide show rounds, answer any questions and give you a better picture of what life is like within a Fremantle Trust care home.
With this only being the second year that the celebration has extended to a week, it gives our homes the perfect opportunity to show you what we do best, so please take a look at the list below, give your chosen service a call and come and see us for Care Home Open Week.
 | Chesham Leys
Chesham Leys will be hosting a community tea party and will give a snapshot of the home by playing a ‘Day in the life of Chesham Leys’ video in the foyer or garden depending on the weather. Visitors will also have the opportunity to spot the staff and residents dressed up as ‘Where’s Wally’ in the video, so keep your eyes peeled! Representatives from each department will also be present at the tea party for Q&A sessions. Friday 1 July | 2pm

 | Farnham Common House
Farnham Common House will be providing a rolling buffet with activities running in the morning and in the afternoon. Visitors will be given show rounds and have the opportunity to book a dining experience within the home. An Elvis-tribute entertainer will be performing from 11.30am - 12.30pm and sessions of art therapy and chair dancing will take place between 2pm and 4pm. Tuesday 28 June | 11am - 1pm / 2pm - 4pm

Icknield Court will be providing an all-day light buffet with a variety of activities chosen by the residents from 11am - 1pm and 2pm - 4pm. Sir Aubrey Ward will be providing all-day refreshments and visitors will be able to meet the Activity Organisers and enjoy a special performance from the Sir Aubrey Ward choir.  | The Heights
The Heights will have an Intergenerational theme for this year’s Care Home Open Week. Children from local schools and nurseries will be coming in to sing, play games and join residents for an afternoon tea. On Wednesday 29 June between 10am and 4pm, a member of staff will be available for show rounds. All week | 11am onwards
