As a specialist nursing home, Chesham Leys has a variety of facilities that provide excellent services for our residents and create a safe and comfortable environment for older people and those living with dementia.
Comfortable En-suite rooms
Each individual room in our care home is comfortable, spacious and designed for the needs of older people. This includes a 24-hour carer call system and a specially equipped wheelchair accessible en-suite. Rooms are fully furnished and complete with phone and TV points, however we encourage residents to bring their own furniture and personal items to give that homely touch.
Inviting communal areas
Bright and welcoming lounges are located on each floor, encouraging social interaction with other residents, friends and family. These spacious areas are ideal for the care home’s many leisure activities and social events. Every floor has its own unique style which is easily accessible by stairs or lift. There is also a quiet room which can be used as a private space to meet with visitors.
Fresh food daily
Food is one of life’s great pleasures and at Chesham Leys, meals are professionally cooked fresh on-site using locally-sourced produce wherever possible. Residents have a choice of meals and every special dietary requirement is catered for. Residents also contribute to our varied menu planning. Each floor has a dedicated dining room and visitors can join residents at mealtimes for a minimal charge. Alternatively, residents and visitors can use the kitchenettes.
Enclosed garden flourishing with flower beds
Attractive outdoor spaces can really enhance wellbeing and at Chesham Leys, everyone is welcome to spend time in our delightful enclosed garden. It is fully wheelchair accessible and has a comfortable seating area that is perfect for catching up with family and friends. Raised flower beds allow residents to indulge in a spot of gardening and contribute to making the garden bloom.
Access to specialist services
As well as a personal key worker and individual support plan, residents can benefit from regular visits by healthcare professionals including opticians, chiropodists, physiotherapists and dieticians. We have access to district nurses and a local GP for whom we have a purpose made consultation room available. Religious services also are held regularly at the nursing home.
Pet-friendly
As a nation of animal-lovers, we understand that the positive effects of caring for a pet can be both rewarding and beneficial for an older person. We will do everything we can to support individuals so they can continue to care for and have the companionship of their furry friends.

Everyone deserves the opportunity for a bit of pampering, so at Chesham Leys care home our trained hairdressers are on hand to offer a range of styling options for both male and female residents.
