Volunteers

Volunteers add an important and unique contribution to Fremantle services and to the quality of life of the people who live in our communities. They add new friends, new opportunities for residents and day care members, and a link with the wider community. For volunteers themselves it can offer high rewards and real satisfaction.
A special thank you to all the volunteers who add so much to our services. Some examples include:
- At Icknield Court 4 befrienders come in regularly to chat to residents who have no, or few, other visitors and a resident's daughter comes in every 2 weeks and does arts and crafts with residents
- At Chalk Leys a volunteer comes every week to chat to residents
- At Carey Lodge someone who uses Fremantle supported living service helps out at the weekly coffee morning
- Age Concern provide volunteer advocates to support service users in a number of Fremantle services
