Volunteers add an important and unique contribution to The Fremantle Trust's services and to the quality of life of the people who live in our communities. They add new friends, new opportunities for residents and day care members, and a link with the wider community. For volunteers themselves it can offer high rewards and real satisfaction.
Do you have some free time?
Want to make a difference in your community?
Want to make a difference in someone’s life?
Why not volunteer?
The Fremantle Trust’s volunteer scheme puts you in the driver’s seat - you will be amazed at what a difference you can make.
This is a fantastic opportunity, not only to meet people from all walks of life, but to make a big difference within your community.
Going for a walk? Why not take someone with you? It can literally be as simple as that, the smallest amount of time out of your day can make a massive difference in someone’s life.
What Can You Do as a Volunteer?
Whatever your skills and experience we can utilise them. But here are a few ideas:
• Reading with residents, partaking in musical games, assisting with gardening
• Running an in house shop or café
• Driving minibuses
• Assisting with visits to hospitals, generally helping people to get out and about
• Reception support, assisting with meal preparation and providing good company
at meal times
