2013

  • The Fremantle Trust announced exciting new developments with the running of Haddenham and Denham Day Care Centres.
  • The Fremantle Trust completes acquisition of Hibbert Lodge

2012

  • The Fremantle Trust celebrates 20 years
  • 20th Anniversary Appeal launched
  • Building work commenced for Fremantle Court, (which is due to open to the public at the end of 2013)
  • The Fremantle Trust took over the management of Bourne End Day Centre (on behalf of the Friends of Bourne End)
  • Plans were confirmed to take on the rebuild of Hibbert Lodge
  • Chesham Supported Living opened to the public

2011

  • The Fremantle Trust picked up 3 awards at The Great South East Care Awards
  • Fern Britton officially opens Cherry Garth to the public
  • Lent Rise House officially opens to the public
  • New Fremantle Connect service opened to the public
  • 75% of The Fremantle care staff achieved at least NVQ level2
  • New Business Development team established

2010

  • My Time launched in Bedfordshire - new person-centred activities and educational service
  • Fifth new Project Care Older People's home opens, Sir Aubrey Ward House, Marlow
  • New supported living service opens in Milton Keynes, Perrydown, replacing old communal service with new individual flats
  • Fremantle Trustees sign National Care Forum (NCF) Quality First commitment
  • Fremantle adopts the Gold Standard Framework for end of life care
  • Fremantle and Talkback launch Nclude, a joint Social Enterprise project for people with learning disabilities in the Aylesbury area
  • As part of Project Care we have successfully moved over 700 people from old services into new modern accommodation and new types of service
  • We now support more people with a learning disability individually in their own homes

2009

  • Three new Project Care services open:
  • New supported living service opens in Bedford at Kingsbrook Court
  • Fremantle establishes FreBank in-house staff agency to reduce and eventually eliminate any reliance on external agency staff
  • Fremantle launches a Dementia Care Forum in Buckinghamshire - membership open to staff from any Buckinghamshire home
  • All services in Bedfordshire now achieve Good rating (all had either adequate or poor ratings when The Fremantle Trust took over)

2008

  • Two new Project Care homes open, The Heights, High Wycombe a care home with nursing and Icknield Court, Princes Risborough
  • The Fremantle Trust wins contract for six learning disability homes in Bedfordshire for 38 people, quality audits carried out, improvements identified and plans put in place to increase quality
  • Apprentice Scheme introduced in Buckinghamshire
  • 93% of The Fremantle Trust's homes are Good or Excellent, compared with 71% nationally
  • Three Barnet homes awarded 5 stars in the Scores on the Doors pilot scheme in Barnet
  • First new Project Care Supported Living service opens at Beechlands Court, High Wycombe providing 16 individual flats

2007

  • The Fremantle Trust wins Buckingham Ambassadors Award for Quality and Skills
  • Ten years of Investors in People
  • Cherry Garth is Fremantle's first care home to introduce a nursing service
  • The Fremantle Trust achieves ISO 9001:2000 quality accreditation
  • Lewin House, Aylesbury, first new Project Care Older People's Home with nursing opens in November
  • Three new Project Care buildings underway
  • Introduced a new Manager Development Programme
  • The Fremantle Trust's Apprentice Scheme started in Barnet

2006

  • Meadowside, Barnet home and Day Centre opened replacing older buildings
  • Building work starts on the first new Project Care home in Bucks
  • The Fremantle Trust celebrates 10 years of its Workskills Project
  • Dementia Care Champions appointed in every Older People's home

2005

  • The Fremantle Trust establishes a Dementia Care Development Group and training in Dementia Care Mapping
  • Apthorp Lodge in Barnet completed, another new home and Day Centre replacing older buildings
  • Lady Elizabeth House Extra Care opened for 29 tenants
  • A user led Health and Safety group is started in supported living schemes
  • Training in person-centred planning introduced for all staff

2004

  • 2000 people using The Fremantle Trust's services
  • Project Care agreed between Fremantle, BCC and Housing Solutions Group. A 10-year project whereby all of the old services in Buckinghmshire for older people and people with a learning disability would be re-provisioned with brand new buildings to facilitate even better personalised care and increase supported living services for people with a learning disability.

2003

  • Two brand new homes opened in Barnet to replace old properties
  • A new home at Farnham Common, Bucks is started
  • The Fremantle Trust's first Supported Living flats started

2002

  • The Fremantle Trust now runing 55 homes with 1500 staff

2001

  • The Fremantle Trust is announced as Edexcel Employer of the Year
  • Eleven homes in the London Borough of Barnet are transferred to Catalyst Housing Association,The Fremantle Trust is contracted to provide care services to 370 residents with 400 staff

2000

  • The NVQ Assessment Centre is awarded an ESF grant

1999

  • Sancroft Hall, Harrow Older People's home opened, first home to have specialist Asian Elder care groups
  • The Fremantle Trust's own NVQ Assessment Centre is established

1998

  • Investors in People award achieved
  • Cotswold Cottage learning disability home opened

1997

  • The Fremantle Trust establishes a Quality Audit system to listen to views of service users, staff, families and other professionals about the quality of care provided

1996

  • The Fremantle Trust's Workskills Project is launched, providing work experience for people recovering from mental health problems as an alternative to more traditional forms of day care

1995

  • A 3 year programme of investment in building refurbishments is started

1994

  • The Minister for Health visits homes in Aylesbury

1993

  • A further 23 homes are transferred from BCC - The Fremantle Trust now 1000 staff and 1000 residents

October 1992

  • 17 homes transferred from Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) and The Fremantle Trust is formed

Day care services for older people - Cricklewood, Harrow, Finchley, Burnt Oak and Southgate

Extra Care services for older people in Maidenhead.

Care homes and supported living services for people with a learning disability in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire and Bedfordshire.
